Education Partners,
Good afternoon. A few items of interest:
And finally, here is something to inspire and amaze:
District 303’s own Nell Nunn retired this spring after 16 years with the district – most recently as a special education teacher at Norton Creek Elementary School.
Well, Nell’s not one to sit around, apparently.
She has signed up to participate in 12 – count ‘em, 12 –3-day, 60-mile walks over 14 weeks this summer and fall to raise money to help fight breast cancer. Her first walk will be in Boston August 4-6, and the last one is scheduled in San Diego from November 10-12. She has walked in five other walks, and worked, or “crewed” in three more. Her mom died of lung cancer.
Nell needs to raise $2,200 to take part in each walk, and would appreciate support from anyone who wants to give it. Donations can be made to her through the event website: www.The3day.org Click on “Donate” and then on the appropriate Walk date.
Best luck to Nell!
