• The St. Charles North High School Jazz Workshop group has been invited to perform at the 34th annual International Association of Jazz Educators (IAJE) conference being held in New York City next January. • Speaking of kudos and honors, several St. Charles North and East high schools track and cross country athletes competed and did well at the Nike Outdoor Nationals, held June 15-17, 2006 in Greensboro, North Carolina:
  • St. Charles North High’s Chris Rosso, Chris DeSilva, Mike McDonnell, and Matt DeSilva took 4th place in the 4x1 mile relay, and set a new school record in the process.
  • St. Charles East High’s Elizabeth Hynes finished 2nd – by 1 second! – in the girls freshman one mile run.
  • St. Charles North High’s Chris Rosso, Steve Wiitanen, Bryan Barker, and Andy Barbeau finished 10th in the fast heat of the 4x800 relay.
  • Overall, St. Charles North finished 15th out of the 34 teams competing at the Nationals.
