The Board of Education on Monday approved the 2005-06 budget, gave the green light to beginning the process to sell working cash bonds, and OK’d a plan to lease computers for the next five years to begin replacing ones that are on their last (technological) legs. The John B. Norris Recreation Center will mark its 30th anniversary with a free Open House this weekend. The event will include a:

• Body Fat Analysis and Meet the Personal Trainer from 8-11 a.m. August 27 and 28;
• Yoga Class at 8 a.m. August 27;
• Senior Fitness Seminar at 8 a.m. August 27

There will also be racquetball clinics and challenge courts, swim lesson registration (members: August 29-30; non-members September 1), tennis lesson registration (members: August 29-30; non-members September 1), and a 10 percent discount on annual membership through August 31.
