4 The People had the honor of attending the Transportation Bill signing last week in Montgomery. We were invited to a private audience with Governor Blagojevich to discuss the importance of this Bill to DuPage County and West Chicago. While the Bill is a great source of Federal funds, each of us asked the Governor how he is going to find the matching State dollars to secure these Federal dollars without raising taxes. The Governor said he is working on this issue and had no answer for us at this time.
