students awarded scholarships for visit to
Sister
City
- Community High Schools students, who will travel
to
Gunzenhausen,
Germany for three weeks
this summer, received $1,00 in scholarships.
- While in
Germany, the students and teachers
live with German families, attend school daily and present to classes in
German. The German school arranges field trips for the
West Chicago group to acquaint them with life and
culture in their region
District 303 approves new
three-year teachers’ contract
- The Board of Education approved a new three-year
contract with the St. Charles Education Association, which represents all of
the district’s teachers and other certificated staff.
- This agreement should help the district meet the
community’s goal of attracting and keeping high-quality staff.

Coats for Kids seeks donations
- The Coats for Kids partners are looking for new
and gently-used children and teen-sized coats.
- Collection will begin on April 5 through the end
of June.
- Coats will be distributed in October to families
in need

West Chicago Park District
begins summer camp registration
- West Chicago Park District’s Summer Camp
registration has begun for this summer’s day camp.
- Camp will be held out at
Manville
Oaks
Park on
Wilson Street again this year.
- Camp officially starts on June 6 and continues
through August 12.
- Cost is $250 for two week sessions.
- Summer Camp is for children who will be entering
Kindergarten through those entering 8th grade.

Registration for after school
programs for 2005-2006 school year begins
- After School and Before School Programs, which are
available at

Elementary School, begin
registration on May 2 for next school year.

Kamp available for 2005-2006 school year
- Kindergarten Kamp
provides activities and care for children who attend either morning or
afternoon programs.
- Kamp is held in Reed-Keppler
