Jeff Cisowski
Wins
19th District VFW Voice of Democracy Competition
Jeff Cisowski has been named the winner of the 19th District VFW Voice of Democracy competition. His entry titled "Celebrating Our Veteran's Service" was ranked first among more than 400 entries from DuPage and Kane Counties to advance to the state competition. Cisowski, a senior at Community High School District 94, is the son of Michael and Nancy Cisowski of West Chicago.
Summer Hassan was also ranked among the winners in the district competition. She is a senior at Community High School and is the daughter of Mustafa and Khitam Hassan of West Chicago. The Voice of Democracy contest is sponsored annually by the V.F.W. and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. CHS Social Studies teacher Mary Ellen Daneels is the Voice of Democracy contest liaison at the high school. "Congratulations to both Jeff and Summer for their outstanding work and for representing the best Community High School has to offer," said Daneels.
