Biography
I was
born at a very early age... in a hospital. My mother was there at the time.
She will never forgive me for what I wrote on the walls... in utero. I was raised mostly
on Kincheloe AFB in the upper peninsula of Michigan I attended Northern Michigan
University and received both my Bachelors (1970) and Masters (1978) from there... majoring
in math. I spent one year teaching math in Wolverine, Michigan, 27 years teaching
math at Community High School District 94 in West Chicago, IL, and 15 years teaching
computers for College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL. I am currently retired... and
enjoying community service activities. I was Secretary of the West
Chicago Planning Commission for much of my almost two decades of service there, a member of the West
Chicago Human Relations Commission., Chairman of the West Chicago Environmental Advisory
Commission, a member of the District 94 School Board, and member of the District 33 School Board.
My wife, Sharon, is a nurse in OB and lactation consultant at Delnor
Community Hospital in Geneva, IL. We have two children. My son,
Stan, is a 22 year
old graduate of Concordia College
River Forest and my daughter, Rebecca, is a 18 year old sophomore at
Western Michigan University. She is majoring in driving her mother crazy.
