Tammy Cook, from Free Speech Speakers Bureau, will present an overview of the bestselling book and popular movie on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Learn how to use the law of attraction to create the life you love. Ms. Cook’s historical documentary is nondenominational in content and includes discussion and handouts.

Kathy Reuter, University of Illinois Extension educator, will present Consumer Fraud: Schemes, Scams and Flim Flam during Books for Lunch on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. She will offer tips to help consumers to protect themselves against fraud and identity theft.

     Please join Karin Krog for a Holiday Ornament family program on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. You may work on your own or with family members. Enjoy refreshments as Karin helps you create and decorate a photo memory cube ornament. Your beautiful family keepsake can be hung on your tree or given as a holiday gift. Photos for your ornament can be brought in that evening or added at a later time. Children must be four years of age or older. There is a $5.00 materials fee for each ornament.

        Please join us for a Fall Flower Arranging program on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Peggy Garvin, from Garvin Gardens, is back to help you design and create your own colorful fall basket filled with silk flowers, dried pods and leaves. Ask a friend to join you for an enjoyable evening. Please bring a garden pruner, if available. There is a $15.00 materials’ fee payable at registration.

        Barbara Farner, Nutrition and Wellness speaker from the University of Illinois Extension, will present Eating Right When Eating Away From Home on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Discover how to follow healthy eating habits when eating away from home. You will learn how to read and understand menus, and which questions to ask about how the food is prepared. Ms. Farner will also give you tips on making good choices when dining out at a holiday dinner or party.
