Winfield Township

     On Thursday, April 17, 2008, Winfield Township will be hosting a free, informative program on “AGING WITH DIGNITY”. It is an opportunity to learn more about Hospice, option you have regarding end-of-life care and Five Wishes – a legal document that helps you express how you want to be treated if you are seriously ill and unable to speak for yourself. People of all ages can learn from this program. Every attendee will be given a Five Wishes booklet, free.

To the legal voters, residents of the Town of Winfield in the County of DuPage and State of Illinois, that the Annual Town Meeting of said Town will take place on Tuesday, April 08, 2008 Being the second Tuesday of said month at the hour of 8:00 p.m. at the West Chicago City Hall located at 475 Main Street in West Chicago, Illinois, for the transaction of the miscellaneous business of the said town; and after a Moderator having been elected, will proceed to hear and consider reports of officers, and decide on such measures as may, in pursuance of law, come before the meeting; and especially to consider and decide the following:

Names will be available beginning November 1, 2007. Please call Debby at 231-3591, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday to receive the name of a pre-screened family that is experiencing financial difficulties. All families live in West Chicago, Warrenville, Winfield or Aurora (DuPage County portion.) If you take the name of a family, you will be expected to purchase a gift for each member and also provide a gift card to a local grocery store. You may bring the items to the township (before December 17th) or you may deliver the gifts to the family directly. JOIN US IN SERVING THOSE WHO ARE STRUGGLING! 630-231-3591.
