2008 JOB FAIR

     Participating in the 2008 Job Fair was businessman Mike Savegnago, a franchise owner of College Pro Painters, and a 2004 CHS graduate. He credits Mrs. Striker, an “awesome teacher,” and her business class for his interest in entrepreneurship. Mike is a junior at UIC majoring in Entrepreneurship.

     Also participating in the 2008 Job Fair was Alma Reyes, who is the Assistant Director of the Community Resource Centers in West Chicago, and a 2000 CHS graduate. Alma also credits Mrs. Striker for allowing Alma to introduce the Community Resource Centers into her class at CHS.

     Odysseys Fun World Assistant Manager, and 2004 CHS graduate, Gerry Avalos also participated in the 2008 Job Fair. Gerry credits Mrs. Peachs’ Cooperative Work Training class for his interest in business. He stated that “the class was very helpful in fully explaining what business expectations are of employees”.
