ST. CHARLES, Ill. (APRIL 15, 2008) – Pheasant Run Resort has announced its 2008 Golf Tournament Schedule, featuring nine events that run throughout the year – including the 2nd Annual Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament – which are open to all area residents and guests of the property, according to Robert J. Jan, Director of Golf at the resort.
The first tournament, a four-person “Spring Fling” scramble which was held April 12, 2008, helped officially open the Pheasant Run Resort golf course for the 2008 season. The 18-hole Resort Course is a par-72 championship caliber layout, with tree-lined fairways, pristine lakes and carefully manicured greens. A Maddox design, the course has received top honors and industry recognition for both design and competitive play.

The 2008 Pheasant Run Resort golf tournament schedule is comprised of the following events:
- Spring Fling, April 12
Format: four-person scramble, four amateurs form the team Gross division Entry Fee: $39.00 per person (golf, cart, prizes and lunch) - Better Ball of Partners #1, May 17
Format: Better Ball of Partners, two amateurs form the team Gross & Net divisions Entry Fee: $39.00 per person (golf, cart, prizes and lunch) - Pheasant Run Celebrity Pro-Am, June 10
Format: five-person team scramble, four amateurs and one Chicago sports celebrity form the team Gross & Net divisions Entry Fee: $95.00 per person (golf, cart, lunch, on-course beverages, registration gift, prizes & dinner) - Starts & Stripes, July 5 Format: Individual Stroke Play (golfers play from Red, White and Blue tees) Gross & Net divisions Entry Fee: $39.00 per person (golf, cart, prizes and lunch)
- Club Championship (Junior), July 26 Format: Individual Stroke Play Gross divisions by age Entry Fee: $20.00 per person (golf, prizes and lunch) This is a walking only event
- Parent & Child Scramble, August 9
Format: two-person scramble, one parent and one child form the team Gross & Net divisions by age Entry Fee: $25.00 per person (golf, cart, prizes and lunch) - Club Championship (Men & Ladies), August 30 & 31
Format: Individual Stroke Play Gross & Net divisions Two-day tournament Entry Fee: $50.00 per person (golf, cart, prizes and lunch on both days) - Better Ball of Partners #2, September 20
Format: Better Ball of Partners, two amateurs form the team Gross & Net divisions Entry Fee: $39.00 per person (golf, cart, prizes and lunch) - “Get out of the House”, November 22
Format: two-person scramble, two amateurs form the team Gross division Entry Fee: $39.00 per person (golf, cart, prizes and lunch)
The majority of the tournaments at Pheasant Run require a valid USGA handicap. In the event that a player does not have a valid handicap, the individual will only be eligible for the gross portion of the event. Players may win prizes on one division only.
To help prepare for the tournaments, Pheasant Run features one of the Midwest’s finest practice centers including a driving range complete with 50 grass hitting stations, putting and short game areas and state-of-the-art instructional facilities.
