From time to time I write letters to the editor of the local newspaper, some times they get published and some times they don’t get published. It seems if. I agree with the paper’s view it get published. Here is one I don’t think would be published.
At the recent Republican Candidate’s night in West Chicago Sen.Lauzen and Jim Oberweis were asked if they would support the Republican ticket if they were not nominated. Jim Oberweis answered without hesitation YES. Sen. Lauzen hemmed and hawed and finally said that he would have to think about it.
Sen. Lauzen has been running under the Republican name for 16 years to get elected to the State Senate. He has been using the party to further his goals and now if he doesn’t get the nomination he is going to dump us who have put him in office for many years. Just like a spoiled child who doesn’t get his way takes his bat and ball and goes home
The Daily Herald didn’t endorse him because of inability to join with other members of the State Senate to form coalitions that would benefit his district. Who suffers with this kind of blindness of course his district? The House of Representative in Washington is built on ability to build partnerships which means that your district will get some of the Federal money back that we send to Washington.
Jim Oberweis who has had the experience of the give and take in the business world will be capable of making the coalitions with other members of Congress. This will allow him to represent our district as it has been in past.
