     Women’s Wisdom, a collection of art by women from all walks of life, graces Gallery 200 as the Featured Artist Series continues through the month of September.

     
The West Chicago Police Department announced that Campaign #4 of the Illinois Department of Transportation funded grant was successful in educating the motoring public on Seatbelt Safety and Awareness. The Campaign ran from June 23, 2008-July 6, 2008 and resulted in 285 citations being issued for Seatbelt and Child Restraint violations.

Donna McCormack, a Park District Commissioner, recently submitted her resignation as she is moving from the area. With her resignation, there is an opening on the West Chicago Park District Board of Commissioners. The appointed term is from September 9,2008 to April 2009. Applicants for this position must be residents in the West Chicago Park District. Interested persons need to submit a letter, listing their qualifications and a statement of intent to the West Chicago park District, Attn: Gary Major, 157 W.      The West Chicago City Museum launched its first-ever half-day camp program to two groups of eager learners. The atmosphere was fun and educational for 25 participating children on July 24 and July 30, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
