Wheaton boy wins grand prize at kid’s fair
State Sen. Randy Hultgren (R-Wheaton) presents Caleb Rathbun of Wheaton with the grand prize from a Children’s Health Fair sponsored by Hultgren and Rep. Mike Fortner (R-West Chicago) that was held in Wheaton on Saturday, September 22.
Rathbun, who was also celebrating his sixth birthday, joined more than 300 people in attending the free event, which had dozens of participants presenting information ranging from child safety belts to after school programs and children’s savings accounts to healthy dieting. Numerous demonstrations were also held throughout the morning. The grand prize was a bicycle donated by Hultgren and Fortner.
