Seeking a Unified West Chicago - While Servicing Unique Needs
Positive proactive attitude
Strong work ethic
Vote Tuesday, April 1st DZIERZANOWSKI

There is a need for high-end retail and industrial developments to keep taxes low
  • The 7th ward represents the highest tax base in the City of West Chicago.  We need these developments to broaden our tax base.

I will work on attracting high-end retail, forward-looking high-tech companies, and respectable industrial developments.  I will work to keep our taxes low, without sacrificing vital city services.

And a need for an improved city image and safe neighborhoods!
  • By lowering crime, the City will portray a more stable, positive image.  This will attract better businesses, leading to the lowering of our taxes.

I will work to give the police the financial support and tools they need to keep West Chicago safe.

I will work on the continuous improvement of the City image.  I will work toward maintaining and increasing our property values.

The Neighborhoods of the 7th Ward have unique Needs.

For Willow Creek and the Arbors For Cornerstone Lakes
  • With the addition of new businesses along Hawthorne Lane, an alternative truck route is long overdue.

I will work to make sure the Woodland Avenue truck access road is connected to Hawthorne Lane to give the truck traffic an alternative route to North Avenue.  I will work with the WCPD to ensure the truck traffic remains restricted on Hawthorne Lane.

  • With the upcoming construction of the Water Treatment Plant, disruptions in the neighborhoods should be kept to a minimum.

I will work closely with the Department of Public Works to ensure that notices go out before any disruptive work is performed, and that disruptions especially through the neighborhoods, will be kept to a minimum.

  • With the new school opening in the fall, we have to worry about our children getting to and from school safely.

I will work directly with District 303 and WCPD to ensure that traffic and parking in and around the neighborhood is not a problem.  I'll ensure that our children are SAFE walking to and from our new school.

  • We now have to travel down Smith Road to get to the Illinois Prairie Path.

I will continue to work with the Environmental Commission to safely connect Cornerstone Lakes to the bike paths around the neighborhood.

  • We had a serious vandalism problem in our park before it even opened... a problem that continued throughout the summer and fall.

I will work with the Park District and WCPD to ensure that the Park is a safe, vandalism-free environment in which our children can play.
